Parenthood Experience — Part I
Yeee!!! It’s a girl 🥳🥳🥳🥳
Unlike my other articles this one is a non technical.
Recently, we were blessed with a baby girl. We named her Tridha.
Here, we would like to share our parenting experience so far. I believe those who have already gone through this golden time period they would agree with me. If one follows the below considering it will be a boon, especially for the new parents who don’t have any idea what these little angels asking for.
Private Social media account
Like every parent, I also wanted to capture every moment of our baby, so we initiated with maintaining her diary.
I also created her private account on Instagram and started saving all her moments (pictures & videos) into her own account. I am sure it will be an exhilarating experience for my baby when she is all grown up.
Floating Thermometer
Bath time is the best time and a wonderful way to relax your baby for a restful sleep. Make sure that the water temperature should not be too high or low.
Ideally, the water temperature should be between 37 degrees to 38 degrees. Use a bath thermometer to avoid any mishappening. You could find a fancy duckie-shaped floating thermometer — that’s best to use.
Pop this duckie-shaped baby gadget in the bathtub and wait for a couple of seconds as it will read the temperature and indicate if the water is too hot or too cold.
Wearable Humidity sensors — 🤔
This was the first gadget on my list. Every time my baby got irritable, I used to check for diapers. Most of the time, I got myself lucky and found it dry 😅.
I was sure that there would be something in this tech-savvy world to detect the humidity. Fortunately, I found some wearable cheap humidity sensors online. It sounds COOL 😎. Isn’t it?
Smart Air Conditioner
I live in the northern part of India, where the summer season is unbearable sometimes. A newborn baby does not have a mechanism to release sweat and adjust body temperature.
It is recommended to keep the room temperature between 23–27 degrees. It would be tedious to monitor the same manually. So, thanks to the smart air conditioners, which maintains the temperature between the suggested range. And saves our effort.
Baby Shusher
Baby Shusher breaks a baby’s crying spell by engaging her natural calming reflex. The rhythmic shush is like inside the womb, where there is a constant inundation of loud sounds from Mom’s body.
It goes up to 85 decibels in volume, which is designed to replicate the 90-decibel volume level that occurs inside the womb.
Crib plus Monitor
Cribs can be the safe sleep choices for a newborn. Cribs last long as it could be converted into toddler beds. Do make sure that your baby’s bed meets the most recent safety standards. Your baby’s mattress should be firm, flat, and bare.
Crib monitors are essential to keep an eye on your little one. It mounts easily on the crib and keep recording even during night due to its infrared night vision sensors.
For premature baby’s, parents prefer crib monitors which have breathing sensors.
Thanks for reading. I will continue to share my experience in the next post.
